Daily Devotion: Confidence In The Wrong Person

Bible Reading: Proverbs 25:19-28

Key Verse: Verse 19 – “Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint.”

Key Words: Confidence in an unfaithful man

Have you given a responsibility to someone who didn’t come through or maybe they didn’t do what was needed in a timely manner? When someone doesn’t fulfill their responsibility, it’s not just frustrating, it’s painful.

The unfaithful spouse is painful to their partner.

The unfaithful employee is painful to their employer.

The unfaithful volunteer is painful to others.

Some fatherly advice came to Bob Hendricks years ago from his dad, Howard, who told him, “Be so dependable that if you ever fail to show up, they send flowers.”

If they let you down once, shame on them; if they let you down twice, shame on you! Or you will be asking yourself, “Why did I do that? Again?”

What to do:

Unfaithful people are not only frustrating, they cause pain!!
