Secular education is not a blessing but a vice!! I know that is a bold statement, but an article by Cathy Lynn Crossman writing for USA Today quotes from a survey taken by the University of Nebraska – Lincoln Professor Philip Schwader, an Associate Professor of Sociology, who surveyed 1,800 adults from the United States.
According to Schwader for each additional year of secular education from 7th grade up, the individual is 13% less likely to say that the Bible is the actual Word of God.
Heman & Mehta, known as the friendly atheist blogger, says the more education one receives, the less likely they are to believe in a god. It is not education that makes you less religious, it’s humanistic education that makes one less religious.
To put this into words we all can understand, secular education does have a negative effect!!
C. S. Lewis said, “Education without religion, as useful as it is, seems rather to make one a more clever devil.”
R. L. Dabney said, “If all you mean by education is teaching people to read and write, then all you will accomplish is to create a mass market for trash literature.”
Let us not fool ourselves. Without Christianity, without Christian education, without the principles of Christ inculcated into young lives, we are simply rearing pagans.
How prophetic! How true!
What to do:
✞ Never put your child under the teaching of secular humanists. To do so is destruction of the mind and soul.
