Daily Devotion: What God Hates: Feet That Be Swift In Running To Mischief

Bible Reading: Proverbs 6:18; Romans 3:1-18

Key Verse: Verse 15 – Their feet are swift to shed blood:”

Key Words: Their feet are swift to shed blood

Most of us know a person such as this. If there is something awry going on, they can’t wait to get there. They are always in a hurry to see not only what is going on but also to get involved with it. They enjoy the conflict and hurt others experience; often they are the cause of the pain and suffering experienced by others.

I recently read about a lady who was sick and she went to the doctor. He examined her and did a number of tests and then gave her the bad news. “I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but I am afraid you’ve contracted rabies.” The doctor left the room for a minute and when he returned the woman was busy writing on a piece of paper. The doctor asked, “What are you doing – writing your will?”

No,” she replied, “I’m making a list of people I’m going to bite.”

So it is with a mischievous person – always in a hurry to find someone hurting or someone to hurt. What a miserable life when we could be doing so much to help others who are in need of love and relief from suffering.

What to do:
✞ Have feet that run, not to mischief, but to aid.
