Daily Devotion: Just As Much Grace
Bible Reading: Romans 3:20-28
Key Verse: Verse 24 - "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:”
Key Words: Being justified freely by his grace
It takes just as much grace to save the maniac in Mark 5 as it does the lame man in John 5.
Several years ago the Rev. Samuel Chadwick told of a testimony meeting at the close of a revival in his church. One person after another rose to tell of his transformation from a life devoted to lawbreaking, liquor and all manner of evil. The congregation was profoundly impressed by their witness to the power of the Spirit. At the climax of the meeting a little lady got to her feet and gave the most startling testimony of all! She said: “Jesus saved me from a life of ease, luxury and selfishness, and it took just as much grace to save me from my easy chair as it did to save our brother from the gutter.”
You see, it doesn’t matter if you are the vilest of sinners or the most moral person in your neighborhood. We all need God’s grace…the same grace to be born again.
What to do:
✞ Salvation is not about how good or bad a person is; it’s about what Jesus did for us all.
