When we fail to heed God’s Word,
we will automatically produce some unwanted challenges in our lives. Take Abram, for example. He was told to get out of his country and
“from his kindred.” So what did he
do? He took his nephew,
Some years ago, I had a couple who
wanted me to perform their wedding ceremony.
I began to ask them questions as I do every couple. “Tell me about your salvation.” She did but he didn’t. He wasn’t saved. That was problem number one. Number two, “When God blesses you with a
child, will he or she be raised in church?”
Her response, “Absolutely!” His
response, “Only if that is what he wants.”
Problem number three, “What about the child’s education?” She said, “It would be a Christian
education.” He said, “I don’t think
so.” Needless to say, I did not marry
the couple; but they did get married and were married for two to three
years. Them having all kinds of challenges
in the family, they divorced. You could
see it coming. “Be ye not unequally
yoked together with unbelievers” (II Corinthians 6:14a).
What to do:
✞ Heed God’s Word. You will be glad you did.
