The webpage “World Views” states the following regarding secular humanism and economics.

A socialist system of secular economics is consistent with the Secular Humanist worldview. Although some support a free market economy, many of those who shaped Secular Humanist thought in the last century were socialists.

If we deny our fallen nature, some form of socialism becomes the most attractive economic system for creating a heaven on earth. If original sin does not exist, then a community of mutual cooperation and sharing of work and wealth becomes a possibility. Socialism or some degree of interventionism becomes the economic system best suited to promote the ethics of Secular Humanism and rectify the evils of capitalism.

Secular Humanists’ view of economics is not only socialism, it is very much unbiblical.

God’s plea for economic well-being is for every man to “earn” his own wages and his own way.

“Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.” Proverbs 13:11

“Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.” Ecclesiastes 5:19

“Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.” Ephesians 4:28

“Nor did we eat anyone’s bread without paying for it, but with labor and hardship we kept working night and day so that we might not be a burden to any of you.” II Thessalonians 3:8

“Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.” I Corinthians 3:8

“For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” II Thessalonians 3:10

Someone has written that there are four kinds of bones in the world:
  • Wish bones who spend their time wishing someone else would do the work;
  • Jaw bones who do all the talking, but very little else;
  • Knuckle bones who knock everything that anyone else is trying to do, and
  • Back bones who shoulder the load and get the job done!
The backbone of capitalism made America great, but the wish bone of secular humanism and socialism will and are destroying America.

What to do:
✞ Remember, it takes work to follow after God; it does not just happen,
