The following article was written for the “Free Inquiry” a secular humanist bulletin. It reads in part:
“Moral relativism is the view that ethical standards, morality, and positions of right or wrong are culturally based and therefore subject to a person's individual choice. We can all decide what is right for ourselves. You decide what's right for you, and I'll decide what's right for me. Moral relativism says, ‘It's true for me, if I believe it.’”
Is that not the same lie Adam and Eve fell for? Is that not the same thing Cain believed in Genesis 4? Is that not what the people of Noah’s day believed? Is that not what Lot believed? Is that not what Israel believed in Judea?
Judges 17:6, “In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.”
Judges 18:1, “In those days there was no king in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for unto that day all their inheritance had not fallen unto them among the tribes of Israel.”
Judges 19:1, “And in came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the side of mount Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Bethlehemjudah.”
Deuteronomy 12:8, “Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.”
The end result of any nation or people doing what is right in their own eyes leads to destruction…not a threat, just a Biblical fact!
