Daily Devotion: Where Is God?

Bible Reading: Psalm 42

Key Verse: Verse 3 – “My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?"

Key Words: Where is thy God

No doubt the psalmist is going through a difficult time. The scoffers and the skeptics are mocking and asking where is thy God.

The answer is simple. God hasn’t moved. We may have but God hasn’t. God is omnipresent.

A burglar had done an excellent job of casing the house. When the family left on vacation, he knew his heist would be easy. He entered the house just like planned but was startled by an unsuspected voice. It said, “Jesus sees you.” He initially panicked but realized nobody could be home. This voice repeated the phrase, and he shined his flashlight in the general direction. He relaxed and turned on the main light switch. To his horror, he saw a huge Doberman pinscher crouched in the corner. Then came the voice of the parrot again, “Sic `em, Jesus.”

What to do:
✞ When we ask, where is Jesus; the answer is right where He is supposed to be.
