I do realize that the title of this article is candid; but this is not a time and place to be “politically correct.” When it comes to sex, it’s time for honesty and boldness because we are living in such a cesspool of sexual immorality today. Are you aware that this as well is a spiritual warfare? This “sexual revolution” was a “planned” happening. Let me explain.
The book, The Meaning of Sex in the Christian Life, was first published in 1961 by, of all people, the United Christian Youth Movement of the National Council of Churches. The book discusses rules for sexual behavior and says in part...
“The colonial powers whose majority is declining have set the very arbitrary time of from five to eight years after sexual maturation as the time when young Americans can enjoy sexual relations. A girl under 18 cannot get birth control pills without her parents’ approval [the article is 21 years old]...Young people as sexual beings have sexual rights...If the pill were allowed, young people could assume this responsibility! We immediately hear the colonials roar, ‘Promiscuity, promiscuity, promiscuity!’
“The freedom to use your God-given body to express your affection toward another person cannot be labeled promiscuous merely because the persons involved are not ready for marriage and parenting.
“In all these areas, the self-determination of young people has been duly and arbitrarily postponed. If the Christian gospel is one of liberating the captives it should certainly apply here.”
There is a spiritual warfare taking place in our society in the area of sexual purity.
I challenge you to fight the good fight of faith in this area.
✞ Dedicate yourself to God’s book to know it and to abide by it.
✞ Remember our sexual desire out of marriage is a spiritual warfare.
